Complexity of Care assessment

It is extremely important that the performance of healthcare professionals matches the work they do, the care they provide and the overall organization.

When the areas in an organization where the intensity of care is more complex then the performance of the individuals are identified, adequate action can be taken. For example, efficient schooling helps performance match the right set and level of competencies.

Who will benefit?

Both quality of care and patient/client safety as well as the healthcare professional will benefit from this scan as they will be capable of performing their current tasks without undue stress or falling behind due to overcroping. Moreover, it will allow you to offer professionals whose performance scores are higher than necessary for the intensity of care challenging tasks, (further) schooling or courses so that you can get the very best from the professionals’ potential.

Specific questions about the “complexity of the care”

Added to the Professionalism Scan for nurses, care workers and healthcare assistants are specific questions about the “complexity of the care”. Combined, they form the “Intensity of Care” assessment. The questions address the care component, i.e. the immediate care for patients/clients, the organizational component and the administrational component to examine the complexity of the care (three dimensions). The questions are asked from the respondents’ perspective to discover how they see it. The questions are linked to the different modules in the Professionalism Scan. Once again, the Intensity of Care assessment does not ask for opinions, but for verifiable facts.

What does it cost?

You pay for the Intensity of Care scan based on the number of health care professionals that perform the scan. This includes a graduated scale. Based on the number of health professionals, the number of modules and the number of measurements (single or multi) we will define a project price.
